Ross Old Book & Print Shop is a traditional second-hand and antiquarian bookshop with something for everyone, we hope. The "£3 and under" room is particularly popular!

There are around 30,000 different titles on display, ranging from recent publications to 300-year-old rarities. New items are added every single day. You will find a good selection of past and present books on the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Wales. We also sell old postcards of the area. There's an extensive selection of genuine antique maps covering most areas of the UK. Finally, the ephemera cabinet is always worth a browse.
If you're travelling and don't want to be encumbered with your purchases, we can mail them to an address of your choice, anywhere in the world, perhaps after an agreed delay to allow you to get home first.

We are always keen to buy good quality old or new books, so do contact us if you have single items or collections to sell.

You'll find us in the oldest part of town, within sight of the Market House. There is a loading bay outside the shop and free parking in Royal Parade, just behind.

Ross-on-Wye is an ancient market town in rural Herefordshire, close to the border between England and Wales. The publication of William Gilpin's Observations on the River Wye in 1782 made it Britain's earliest tourist resort. Today the town is still a centre for exploring the picturesque scenery first described by Gilpin. There are good hotels and a wide variety of interesting independent shops.
